 Janet
L. Tallett holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of
California at Santa Barbara in Political Science. She
obtained a paralegal certificate in 1985 from the University of
San Diego ABA approved paralegal studies program. She also
successfully completed the required examination to become a
certified paralegal in 1998. She graduated from Santa Barbara
College of the Law in 2004.
Prior to joining
Gilfix & La Poll Associates, LLC she worked in litigation and
estate planning firms in Santa Barbara, California. She
gained extensive experience in the areas of litigation
corporations, estate planning, probate, conservatorships, trust
administration and Medi-Cal eligibility.
Ms.
Tallett co-taught a course through the BA approved paralegal
studies program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
The course focused on civil procedure, ethics and legal research
and writing. She served as President of the Santa Barbara
Paralegal Association for two terms. In 2003, she also
served as the Small Claims Court advisor for Santa Barbara
County.
Ms.
Tallett focuses extensively in the areas of trust administration
and Medi-Cal eligibility. She enjoys the interaction with
clients and the satisfaction of assisting families with
resolution of complex administrative processes.
