Cecelia C. Fusich has practiced law, focusing on trial work and civil litigation, for over twenty years. For the last fifteen years, she has managed large and complex cases, as counsel for Fortune 500 Companies and government entities, including counseling clients on compliance with and directing the prosecution or defense of federal and state statutes and regulations. She has significant experience in the areas of environmental, insurance coverage, constitutional, real estate and personal injury law.
Ms. Fusich earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall), after graduating from the University of California, Los Angeles (phi beta kappa). Ms. Fusich has served as a settlement judge and judge pro tempore at various superior courts in the Bay Area, including Santa Clara County Superior Court. She also teaches intensive advocacy skills with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, University of San Francisco Law School campus.
She has also worked extensively with individuals and families in the practice of elder law – estates, trusts, conservatorships, elder abuse and probate administration. She is knowledgeable in all areas of this practice --from the development of a legal strategy, to its implementation and completion. As lead counsel, she has supervised younger attorneys, consultants, expert witnesses and support staff. As a trial attorney, she has been in the trenches of the courtroom--at oral argument, trial and settlement--and the deposition--from preparing witnesses (both factual and expert) to taking and defending them.
